THE ROCKY ROAD TO WONDERCON!!!

WOOOOOOOOO!!!  WONDERCON IS 2017 IS HERE!!!  So much time and so little to do!  Wait a minute, that's totally wrong!  Okay, just gotta calm down...  Alright, mind is calm.   WOOOOOOO!!!  Sorry folks, I'm just really excited about going back to WonderCon after two years away!  Today, we're looking back at WonderCon 2014.  T'was a rough weekend for me to be honest, but things have gotten better since then and I can now look back and laugh at it a little.  I think we could all use a laugh right now, so let's cut the jibber jabber and get to the pics!  Enjoy...

There and back and again, this hobbit passed by many times!

 Josie's gone solo!

Johnny Bravo!  This dude is a pretty popular cosplayer around SoCal.  Always a joy to see what he comes up with at each show!

Some father/daughter bonding over the beloved Doctor Who!  Comic Cons bring families together!

Princess Jasmine!  You know?  For being right across the street from Disneyland, WonderCon hasn't seen a whole lotta Disney cosplay over the years.

Dick Tracy... Still waiting on a sequel.

The Fairy Godmother granted many wishes that night, but free tickets weren't among them.

YO JOE!!!

As of this typing, no word yet on whether or not there's a Green Ranger teaser in the Power Rangers reboot.  I'm gonna go out on a limb and say yes.  Rita's staff is the key to my logic here.

It is so rare to see Dana cosplay at cons!  These Ghostbusters get mad street cred!

Oh my glob!  It's homeless Lumpy Space Princess!

"Radar about to be... JAMMED!!!"

Just moments after this picture was taken, Lemongrab swooped in and tried to solve him!

Who knew that Mordecai and Rigby belonged to the Leaf Village?

Damn!  The One Ring is even worse than meth!

And so ends another week of WonderCon bliss!  Which is ironic given that the 2014 edition of it was an utter disaster for me.  Nothing went right at all at my table.  At was a harsh and humbling lesson but it did reap one useful benefit.  I learned that sketch cards are a good way to make quick sales!  I guess sometimes we all really do need that swift kick in the ass.

Alright folks, WonderCon starts on Friday!  I won't have a table this year but that isn't to say I won't have a treat or two for anyone who recognizes me!  Keep an eye on my Twitter feed for more info as it comes!

And that's all she wrote for March!  We will be back next week with a look at WonderCon 2015 to kick off April!  For those of you going to the show please be safe, courteous, cautious and alert.  Many people will be on the move in a relatively small space, so it's easy for tempers to flare.  If we all just move along and be mindful and respectful of one another, there's no reason it won't be a lot of fun for all.  So take care and I'll catch y'all at WonderCon!

WONDERFUL WONDERCON!!!

And we're back!  Only one week to go until WonderCon!  Excitement is running at an all-time high here at the CRAZYVERSE, and I intend to keep momentum going!  So enough stalling!  Let's dive right into WonderCon 2013!  Enjoy...

Not only are Storm Troopers notoriously bad shots, they are also notoriously bad at remembering their badges!

Loki, Thor and Rainbow Dash... Perfectly normal trio at WonderCon!

Bison wants you!

Night Crawler taking a break from the Munich Circus!

Fry and Amy!  They were a fun pair but were ultimately disappointed that no one was selling any Slurm at the booths.

Bulma stopped by my table to see if I had any Dragonballs stored away.  Sorry dear, but no one gets my four star!

Nice to see these kids finally getting along!

Marty meets Awesom-O!  His fart sequence wasn't initiated!

YO ADRIAN!!!

Megara and Pegasus!  Another con first!

Why is it that the fans can get Ghostrider right, but no movie studio can?

Careful Luigi!  Her apples have been known to cause dire consequences!

After really examining this pic, I'm almost certain that it's nerd extraordinaire Chris Hardwick!

Always gotta give props for a fellow Mystery Science Theater 3000 fan!  Deep 13 runs deep!

Best Patrick cosplay I've ever seen!

And there you have it!  WonderCon 2013!  A great show that was an absolute blast for me!  Did fairly well with sales and saw a lot of awesome cosplay!  If only I'd known how rough 2014 would be!

And that's all for this week folks!  We'll be back at it next time to close out March with a look at WonderCon 2015.  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

THE START OF SOMETHING BIG!!!

And we're back!  Inching closer to WonderCon 2017 by looking back at the first WonderCon in Anaheim back in 2012!  A huge show for me as it marked my debut as an exhibitor, it also taught me that if you're gonna table at a con, you need to be patient!  But hey, we're here for fun stuff, so let's get to it!  Enjoy...

I remember these dudes well as they had me laughing hysterically with their jokes!

Ice King and Finn can fight at the drop of a hat!

Some pretty insane Transformers cosplay!  I don't know how they made these things!

Deadpool has a certain effect on people!

Didn't know Ravenclaws and Slytherins got along so well!

This Big Bird cosplay easily goes down as the weirdest cosplay ever!  I loved it though!

Watch out for Rancors!

These guys again?!?  What can I say?  Those costumes were badass!

It's Morphin' Time!  And please keep any immature jokes to yourselves!

 HULK WANT SOLO MOVIE AGAIN!!!

Gotta admit, it's still somewhat disappointing every time Luke pulls off Vader's mask to reveal his father more or less looks like Curly Howard!

GET OVER HERE!!!

My new favorite fan group at cons!  Loves me some classic Ghostbusters!

Just a quick reminder that someone got paid more money than most of us will ever see in our lifetimes to green light a movie about Abe Lincoln killing vampires.  Just let that sink in for a bit.

COBRAAAAAA!!!

And thus was WonderCon 2012!  It was quite the weekend!  Near-freezing temperatures and heavy rain outside was capped off with more crowds than the city could handle for their first big show.  Still, it was quite a rush for a first time exhibitor!  I did better than I'd hoped and made friends for life on the show!  It was a good start!

And once again we are done at the midway point in March!  We'll be back again next time with the WonderCon 2013 experience from the view of CRAZY!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

THAT SHOW WAS WIZARD, YO!!!

Welcome back CRAZIES!  It's week two of our massive countdown to WonderCon 2017!  Last week, we kicked things off with a look back at the original Anaheim show, WizardWorld, which continues today with what turned out to be the final Wizard show in California to date, WizardWorld 2011!  So strap yourself in and prepare to go back to 2011 for some relatively recent nostalgia!  Enjoy...

Albus Dumbledore made the rounds in the exhibit hall.  He was looking for something called the Elder Wand.

Little Ultraman!  He got my vote in the Costume Contest!

Gonzo the Great stopped by to say hello to a young fan!

These Ghostbusters were pretty baffled that Death Troopers were at the show, given that Rogue One wasn't even in development yet!

Bioshock inspires some pretty wild cosplay!  It's like a Scooby Doo villain on acid!

Countess Chocula?

I don't care if his motivator is bad!  R4 kicks ass!

This kid was being painted into a Navi warrior right before everybody's eyes at a make up booth!  Don't know if I'd be brave enough to paint my whole body blue.  I'd likely be mistaken for a giant blue M&M!

They chose the wrong pill!

Some life-size Hotwheels Cars were on display!

Spartans are like turtles I've noticed.  If one falls over, they don't get up too easily!

The Sith seem to come out of nowhere at these shows!

For the first (and only) time ever, Bob Dylan cosplay!

I always love the variety of cosplay you see at big cons!

Venom don't like furries!

And that's a wrap on 2011 and for WizardWorld in Anaheim.  The Wizard shows were always so much fun.  They had a very laid back atmosphere and you could really take your time and browse the tables and booths.  If they ever came back to SoCal, I'd go in a heartbeat!

That's all for this week folks.  We'll be back next time with the start of something big as we relive the debut of WonderCon in Anaheim!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!
